Last August 9 marks our 5th meeting for the subject Technopreneurship 1.
This means that this will be the last discussion that we will be having for the
subject. So, let me start off from what I liked from this meeting’s sharing.
From our August 9 meeting, our facilitator discussed about what makes a
successful technopreneur. He first asked us three things: what we love, what
are we best at, and what our irritants are. From these three questions, he said
that it is important for us to identify these three things before we started
proposing our ideas, we first had our makeup class so our instructor discussed
the continuation of our lessons. The first topic discussed was all about the
internal analysis. So by the way, what is the story or the things behind with
the word internal analysis? As what our instructor said, it is all about
knowing or mastering “oneself” by asking questions to ourselves like what are
the things we love, what are the things we are best at, and what is our
irritants. Our instructor also emphasized that knowing the things we love, best
at and our irritants; we can derive business ideas and opportunities. I just figured out also that it is really
necessary to know much more ourselves because by doing this we can be aware on
the things that can be discovered in ourselves to enhance more. So pertaining
with the things we love, whenever we heard it, with no doubt, the things that
circulating in our minds are all about the love we have in our family, friends
or even in our special someone. So in that discussion of our facilitator he
gave really good information to make us be a more better technoprenuer and more
develop a ideas that never exist that can help to our society and in that
discussion he states the word elevator pitch. First time I heard that word and
it sounds familiar to me. That elevator pitch is an example for our discussion or
sharing. He let us know whether we are given an opportunity to propose inside
the elevator with Steve Jobs or Bill Gates in one moment. How would I convince
them with my idea? Well, this is not just an easy way or technique for
proposing a business to someone. Fortunately, a businessman should have his/
her confidence dealing in business because this is important for them in order
to deliver their words perfectly that makes them convince. In the field of
business, you must convince the other investor for the business you have. To
make them convince, it should be direct to the point. Direct to the point or
something that you need to explain precisely that makes them better understand
what your business had. Explain the point that really convincing. When you got
that moment that they are all amaze with your business proposal or you got
their attention while you explain shortly your business proposal is a good
sign. Elevator pitch is just a strategy for you to explain well what you
propose to the investor. After the
discussion about the elevator pitch, is the two type of analysis. This is
another topic for the sharing and it is all about the internal analysis and
external analysis. Internal analysis is basically means another way of
mastering oneself through asking following question. This analysis is a way on
how to get an idea. And this is the Internal analysis, Internal analysis have a
three question that starts about love. The things that we love. The second
question is about what we are best at. And the last question is about the
irritants what we are not capable off. So for the first question which is about
love, this would handle about what are the things we love to do or things to
take an interest in life. Love doing things or things you might be interested
is in regards to the things that we are good or capable to do or just we say
that you love that kind of things without doubt. That thing that you are
confident enough to perform what you love to do. Performing that you feel not
too bored or you take it fun doing it. When doing such thing, the important
things is that, don’t put yourself into stress or don’t pressure yourself doing
things what you take. When you love to do things, you take it fun. Perhaps it
is your field you take that and that is the reason why you have the willingness
to do it. When you recognize what you want to do you can improve it and get to
be master or be an expert in that field. Just like what course we take now, I
don’t think so if this course is what I love to do. But performing it,
sometimes I take it fun to do but also there are times that it feels so
stressful. Second is about what are we best at. Best at and what things you
love is the same I think. But most of them are, they perform what things they
are best at but this thing is not their love. This might be confused but this
is what I observe to all my friends.
Sport is my best at or love to do but what course I take now is far from
what I love. I know I’m capable to that kind of course but not totally best at.
And last question for internal analysis is about what are the irritants.
Irritants which straight forwardly says of what we are not capable off or we
don’t like. But I like the part that our
instructor tackles the slides very fast and also he can catch the attention of
everyone. Everyone listen to his sharing because in every slides explain by our
instructor, he always put some interested stories to make us not bored. The way
he explains the topic make us interested to listen. Our instructor is really
good in sharing; he knows how to catch the attention of students. He can insert
some jokes to the sharing. The way he delivers his words makes you fully
understand what the main point to that topic is. After knowing ourselves and
observing our environment, we can do more amazing things out of the strength
and kind of minds we have. In addition, there will be more possible
opportunities that will be in our favor as we make our ideas real. It’s just a
matter of using your thick face and wear your courage to do it. Without courage
and faith of what you were doing will be just a waste since you just all know
is you’re just a weak person and nothing can do but to worry and afraid what
will be the results of things you will do. That our facilitator do many things
for us to develop a good ideas and be a technoprenuer master and to tell us
that don’t be afraid to follow our dream God bless us !
